Hi! I'm Mel, a versatile and trusted graphic designer based in Old Town in Swindon, Wiltshire. Since 2021, I am in full-time employment but feel free to get in touch as I might be able to help, depending on availability.

 

With over twenty-five years in the graphic design industry – in corporate, design agency and freelance environments – I’ve been privileged to work with a wide variety of fabulous clients across the UK and abroad. I specialise in graphic design for print and digital and am currently working as Graphics Manager within the Ministry of Defence.

 

I originally founded Mellowdesign Creative in November 2004 and am proud that the majority of my freelance work has come via word-of-mouth and recommendation. I have always been a creative type and find inspiration everywhere; the possibilities are endless and my passion for life reflects this. As a life-long learner and people-person, I love collaboration as a means to inspire and develop great design-thinking. 

 

The best thing about being a graphic designer is being able to take your story and bring it to life using my insight and creativity. My clients and colleagues love the exceptional benefits I bring to their vision, however large or small the project.

My interests
 

As well as all things design, I love socialising and have a diverse range of hobbies. These include music (I sing and play flute), keep fit (I have a personal trainer twice a week and try to walk regularly) and painting. My quieter side seems to come out when I'm deep in design thinking, in front of an easel or switching off to relax. 

 

I also belong to a fantastic local church and I love travelling, whether at home or abroad. I also LOVE gherkins, gin and cats, in no particular order!
