My favourite subjects are ones that capture atmosphere, usually though light and colour, or images with a graphic quality about them, for example, close-up objects with an interesting form. My preferred subject matter is landscapes, buildings and objects rather than people, but it depends on the context.
I also like to some post production work on my images thought occasionally very little is required at all. Again, it depends on what I'm trying to achieve.
Taking photographs has been one of my interests for many years so I was delighted to be able to purchase my first DSLR last year - a Nikon D90. I'm stiil very much getting to grips with the technology and looking forward to learning more.
