Below is a selection of recent photographic work. I am particularly interested in textures, colours, shapes and light. (Click on each thumbnail to see a larger image.)

Photography (coming soon)

Snap happy

Taking photographs has been one of my interests for many years so I was delighted to be able to purchase my Nikon D90. I'm stiil very much getting to grips with the technology and enjoying learning.

"Throughout my career I've observed that the best photographers I've worked with have been those with an 'eye' for a picture. Neither expensive equipment, nor technical knowlege can compensate for the lack

of that 'eye'. Though that 'eye' can be developed through experience, generally people who are artistic make the best photographers. Mel is a prime example of this - she has a remarkable 'eye' for a photograph. This 'eye' combined with her extensive computer-processing experience enables her to create stunning images."

Eileen Fletcher, photographer, equinox.

If you'd like to see some of my latest photos, please take a look at my photography blog. I try to keep it fairly up to date, but sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day!

My favourite subjects are ones that capture atmosphere, usually though light and colour, or images with a graphic quality about them, for example, close-up objects with an interesting form. My preferred subject matter is landscapes, buildings and objects rather than people, but it depends on the context.

I also like to enhance my photographs with some subtle post production work using Photoshop, although occasionally very little is required at all. The technology is there and I like making use of it. However, it depends on what I'm trying to achieve.
